The non-hormonal, FDA Cleared birth control app

Natural Cycles uses a subscription model, available as an annual or monthly plan. Users can purchase their subscription through our website, their app store, and in some pharmacies. All subscriptions includes access to all modes including NC° Birth Control, NC° Plan Pregnancy, NC° Follow Pregnancy and NC° Postpartum.

Please be aware that when prescribing NC° Birth Control, the Annual Plan is the only option that is currently available for insurance reimbursement.

NC° Birth Control is covered by most major health insurance plans in the US, and a written prescription is often required for reimbursement.

Patients should check their health insurance plan’s benefits to see if they require a prescription to get reimbursed. If needed, fill out the dedicated prescription form on the Natural Cycles website here, and give it to the patient.

After the patient purchases the NC° Annual Plan, they can download their receipt from their account to submit with the rest of their documentation for reimbursement.

NC° Birth Control is a non-hormonal, non-invasive contraceptive method that’s FDA Cleared. It may be a option for those who:

• Are 18 years or older
• Agree to use protection or abstain on fertile days
• Cannot tolerate hormonal contraception
• Currently use a period tracker or less effective method
• Are looking to prevent pregnancy now, with a view to plan pregnancy in the future

NC° Birth Control is just as effective for users with irregular cycles, but they may be assigned more fertile days, which may reduce satisfaction. Note that patients cannot use NC° Birth Control at the same time as hormonal contraception.

NC° Birth Control is the first and only contraceptive app to be FDA Cleared and CE marked. As such, the Natural Cycles app is a regulated medical device.

The AI-enhanced algorithm uses body temperature and other fertility indicators to confirm each user’s daily fertility status. Peer-reviewed research found that the algorithm finds fertile days more accurately than calendar-based methods (specifically, the Rhythm Method and Standard Days Method), and that it is less likely to incorrectly assign a non-fertile day. Data security is a top priority for Natural Cycles and NC° Birth Control is designed to protect user data. Natural Cycles Data Protection Officer and Team use advanced security protocols, including pseudonymization and encryption, as part of our comprehensive privacy program.

Users who need an extra layer of identity protection have the option to Go Anonymous. In this optional mode, personal identifying information is separated from fertility data. That means that no one — not even Natural Cycles — can link a user to their data.

Because Natural Cycles charges a subscription fee, it doesn’t need to earn money by selling users’ data like some “free” apps. As a regulated medical device, Natural Cycles is required to comply with the FDA’s cybersecurity requirements. And as a Swedish company, the Natural Cycles app is designed to comply with European GDPR.
