Dr. Karen Tang

MD, MPH, FACOG | Board-Certified Gynecologist

Dr. Karen Tang is a board-certified gynecologist and minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon who is an internationally recognized leader in reproductive health. She received her medical degree and Master of Public Health at Columbia University, and trained in obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.

As @KarenTangMD on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, she reaches millions of viewers each month with her educational videos about period health, pelvic pain, and reproductive rights. Dr. Tang has been featured in The Washington Post, The New York Times, SELF, Glamour, NBC News, and NPR, among others. She lives in the Philadelphia area with her husband and three children and sees patients at Thrive Gynecology.

Dr. Barbara Levy

MD, FACOG, FACS, MSCP | Chief Medical Officer, Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Certified Menopause Provider

Dr. Barbara Levy is a board-certified OB-GYN and certified menopause provider. She has over 40 years of experience in direct care, research, and physician training in women’s health care. 

Dr. Levy is currently chief medical officer of Visana Health, Inc., a virtual-first women’s health company, and chief medical officer of Uroshape. In addition, she is vice-chair of the American Medical Society’s Current Procedural Terminology Editorial Panel, past chair of the American Medical Association Resource-Based Relative Value System Update Committee, and was the vice president of health policy at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists for over seven years. 

She has published over 95 studies and peer-reviewed articles. Much of her personal and professional experience has focused on improving the health, well-being, and livelihood of women across the United States and around the world.

Dr. Jessica Shepherd

MD, MBA, FACOG | Chief Medical Officer, Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Menopause Expert, CEO and Founder of Sanctum Med + Wellness, and Author of Generation M

Dr. Jessica Shepherd is a board-certified OB-GYN affiliated with Baylor University Medical Center, founder of Sanctum Med + Wellness, where she combines traditional and holistic approaches to women’s health, and chief medical officer at Hers. With a focus on perimenopause and menopause, Dr. Shepherd goes beyond the biological effects, addressing the emotional, physical, and lifestyle aspects to offer comprehensive support for women during these transformative stages.

As the author of Generation M and a leading voice in women's health, Dr. Shepherd empowers women to embrace longevity and well-being. Her expertise extends to media, where she regularly appears on Good Morning America, Today, and NBC News, and has been featured in Cosmopolitan, Vogue, and Women's Health. Driven by her passion, she continues to inspire women to thrive holistically at every stage of life.

Dr. Brian Nguyen

MD, MSc | Program Director for the Complex Family Planning Fellowship Program at Los Angeles General Medical Center and Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC

Dr. Brian T. Nguyen is an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Keck School of Medicine of USC and program director for the Complex Family Planning Fellowship program at the Los Angeles General Medical Center. 

He holds a Master of Arts in Sociology and a Master of Science for Clinical Professionals. Dr. Nguyen runs the EMERGE (Expanding Male Engagement in Reproductive and Gender Equity) Lab, which produces research aimed at examining how men are influenced by and how they can influence women’s reproductive health. 

Through this research, he has explored topics such as men’s access to emergency contraception, male hormonal and non-hormonal contraception, and more. He firmly believes that women bear a disproportionate burden when it comes to fertility and contraception and hopes to alleviate this burden via his work.

Dr. Natalie Crawford

MD, FACOG | Double Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist and Reproductive Endocrinologist, Cofounder of Fora Fertility, and Host of the As a Woman Podcast

Dr. Natalie Crawford is cofounder of Fora Fertility, a boutique fertility practice in Austin, Texas, and is board certified in both obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology and infertility. Dr. Crawford is also the CEO and cofounder of Pinnacle, a professional network for women in medicine. 

She completed her undergraduate at Auburn University, obtained a degree in nutrition science at University of Texas Medical Branch, completed her OB-GYN residency at University of Texas Southwestern, and completed her REI fellowship while concurrently obtaining a Master of Science in Clinical Research at the University of North Carolina. 

Dr. Crawford is a digital health educator on social media and hosts the podcast As a Woman: Fertility, Hormones and Beyond with over 4 million downloads.

Dr. Sarah Oreck

MD, MS | Board-Certified Reproductive Psychiatrist and Therapist

Dr. Sarah Oreck is a Columbia University–trained and board-certified psychiatrist with a fellowship in reproductive psychiatry and is the cofounder and CEO of Mavida Health. 

Driven by a deep frustration with the shortcomings in women's mental health care, Dr. Oreck envisioned Mavida Health as a platform to revolutionize access to high-quality mental health services. 

As a practicing therapist and prescriber, she combines cutting-edge medical treatments with a holistic, whole-body approach to mental health. She is the daughter of South American immigrants and grew up between Los Angeles and Colombia. She currently lives in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.

Dr. Rebecka Kaplan Sturk

MD | Board-Certified Gynecologist, Certified Nutritionist, and Senior Consultant

Dr. Rebecka Kaplan Sturk is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics. She earned her medical degree from Karolinska Institutet and completed her specialist training at Södersjukhuset in Stockholm.

Dr. Kaplan Sturk has extensive experience as a practicing physician, and a particular interest in adolescent gynecology, fertility, pregnancy, vulvar pain, PMS, and PCOS. She has dedicated many years to treating vulvodynia, and is the author of the book Vulvasmärta – lokaliserad provocerad vulvodyni (Vulvar Pain – Localized Provoked Vulvodynia).

Additionally, Dr. Kaplan Sturk is a certified nutritionist and passionate about the impact of lifestyle factors on gynecological issues in general, and their impact on fertility and PCOS specifically.

Dr. Kristina Gemzell Danielsson

MD, PhD | Professor and Head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at Karolinska Institutet

Dr. Kristina Gemzell Danielsson is a professor and Head of the Department of Women’s and Children’s Health at Karolinska Institutet (KI) and senior consultant at Karolinska University Hospital. She is a member of the Nobel Assembly at KI, which is responsible for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, head of the research group at the WHO Collaborating Centre for Research and Research Training in Human Reproduction at KI, an elected Foreign Member of the Belgian Royal Academy of Medicine, Honorary Clinical Professor at Hong Kong University, and Riga Stradins University and honorary fellow of Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH) and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) in the UK. She is a member of the International Committee for Contraceptive Research (ICCR) and Population Council, past president of the European Society of Contraception and Reproductive Health and  International Federation of Abortion and Contraception Professionals (FIAPAC), and past member of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) council.

Her research focuses on reproductive medicine (endometrial function, embryo implantation, comprehensive abortion care, emergency contraception and development of new contraceptive technology and new methods for assisted reproduction), as well as global health. 

Dr. Anita L. Nelson

MD, FACOG | Board-Certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist, Professor, and Medical Director

Dr. Anita L. Nelson is a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Western University Health Sciences and professor emeritus of obstetrics and gynecology at David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She has also been the medical director of the research division of Essential Access Health for three decades, where she has conducted nearly $70 million of research in women’s care for National Institutes of Health (NIH), Gates Foundation, and pharmaceutical companies. She has published nearly 300 articles for professional journals, and hundreds of abstracts, chapters and books. She loves to teach and advocate for women’s health issues.
