From measuring your temperature to finding out your fertility status, mornings are an important time for the NC° community. Whether you’re a duvet diver or an early riser, we want you to have the best start to your day possible, so we’ve put together a list of five features that can help you rise and shine in the smoothest way.

1. Be kind to bleary eyes

If you haven’t tried using the Natural Cycles app in Dark Mode yet, you’re missing out! This feature truly is a sight for sore eyes. We banished bright whites and swapped them for deep purple hues that are designed to be easy to look at in a dark room or when you first open your eyes.

You can toggle between Light and Dark Mode really easily. Just visit the settings tab in the app and choose ‘appearance.’

2. Widgets work wonders

Once you’ve opened the NC° app to sync your temperature data, you can double-check your fertility status straight from your phone's home screen with our widget features. Simply install the Natural Cycles widget to see Red or Green Days at a glance! How's that for a handy hack?

You can manage your widgets by clicking on any blank space on your phone’s home screen and choosing the + icon on iPhone or selecting ‘widgets’ on Android devices.

3. Get the NC° Apple Watch app

If you own an Apple Watch, you can check your fertility status and other core info directly on your wrist via our Apple Watch app. You don’t need to measure with an Apple Watch to use this feature — it works for those using an Oura Ring or a thermometer to measure, too. Plus, this feature works with all Apple Watch models after Series 3 because we want to make it even easier for you to use the Natural Cycles app wherever possible!

You can add the Natural Cycles Apple Watch app in a few quick steps by visiting the Watch app on your iPhone.

4. Turn on reminders

There are loads of options you can choose from when it comes to setting reminders with NC° because everyone’s lifestyle is different. There are device prep reminders, PMS alerts, and breast-check reminders, but if you want to get the most out of NC° every morning, measuring reminders are your best friend. It doesn’t matter if you’re measuring orally or overnight. These handy nudges can be used as a reminder to take your temperature or simply sync the data you measured overnight. You can thank us later for that sweet-looking measuring streak!

Set these custom alerts by visiting Settings > Reminders. Here, you can choose the date and time of your reminders so you never lose a single temperature again.

5. Choose a device that suits your routine

At Natural Cycles, we know everyone’s day looks different. That’s why we offer a range of measuring options to suit every type of lifestyle. You can measure overnight using an Oura Ring or Apple Watch (a great choice for snoozers or light sleepers), or you can measure orally with a thermometer in the morning when you wake up! Our latest Bluetooth thermometer makes mornings even better as it features an optional beep and backlight.

You can upgrade your thermometer via the My Device tab in the Natural Cycles app. Or check out the different measuring options available on our device’s page

While we want you to know all about the different measuring options out there and how they work, it’s important to note that if you’re happy with how you’re measuring today, then there’s no need to change. All our devices are just as effective when used with Natural Cycles. However, switching devices can result in more Red Days while the algorithm adjusts.

At Natural Cycles, we’re continually looking to improve your experience from measuring to using the app itself. Watch this space for the latest features and updates coming your way very soon!
