The year is nearly at its close — and what a year it’s been! From supporting you through more phases of the fertility journey to building on our library of research, it's been a milestone year for our contributions to female health. As we wrap up 2024, let’s take a look back together at some of our greatest achievements this year!

1. We measured 122 million times 💥

Measuring is such an important part of the Natural Cycles experience. Without it, you wouldn’t be able to track your unique cycle, detect ovulation or know when you’re fertile and when you’re not. This year our community of Cyclers measured a whopping 122 million times.

Whether you choose to measure with Oura Ring, Apple Watch, or the NC° Thermometer, keep adding that all-important data. We are looking into more ways to support your measuring experience in the future, so watch this space!

2. Sunday wins the award for the sexiest day of the week 🏆

Did you know Sunday is the most popular day to log sex in the NC° app? Free time well spent, we say! If you’re wondering what calendar date is the most popular for intimacy, you might be surprised to learn it’s not Valentine’s Day, but New Year’s Day. Talk about starting the year with a bang…

Whatever day you choose to get down to it, we’re here to support you with the cycle data you need to plan or prevent pregnancy hormone-free.

3. Tired remains the top tracker 😴

Once again, the top-logged mood in the app was tired. While we acknowledge it would be nice if everyone had a bit more energy, we still think it’s great that so many of you took time to reflect on how you feel.

We hope you can find some time for rest during the holidays, and remember to keep logging how you feel in the coming year if you want to spot patterns and changes to your unique cycle.

4. We also felt calm 😌

On a more serene note, the second most logged emotion in the app by the community was calm. It’s not always easy to find peace in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, but plenty of you managed to do just that.

Ovulation is the time of the cycle that’s most often associated with positive emotions, like feeling calm or happy, but you may also find you have more energy during this time too. Knowing when you will feel your best and keeping track of it can help you plan ahead for special events, tailor your workouts, or help you get through on more difficult days.

5. We published four new scientific studies 🧪

Our Science and Research Team have been busy bees this year. Together with academic institutions and leading women’s health researchers they published an impressive four new studies, loaded with ground-breaking research.

One such study found evidence that our cycles do indeed sync with the moon, and can also be impacted on a week-by-week level, with most of us starting our periods on Thursdays and Fridays. Head over to our Research Library to learn more.

6. There’s a whole new way to use Natural Cycles 👩🏾‍🍼

Earlier this year we expanded our existing app experiences and launched NC° Postpartum, an invaluable resource for the fourth trimester and beyond. This app mode is packed full of educational resources reviewed and approved by our very own in-house OB-GYN and Medical Director, Dr. Kerry Krauss.

Every recovery after childbirth is different and we want to make sure each new mom has the tools and the knowledge to guide her through this new life phase.

7. There are SO many more cycle stats than just seven 😉

We had to stop somewhere, but when it comes to your fertility journey, the learning never stops! Our latest update to the app includes a total refresh of our Cycle Insights feature offering you the chance to take a deep dive into your own cycle statistics.

You can now see a more in-depth and intuitive analysis of your cycle — and even download your personal cycle report to share with a healthcare professional if you spot any irregularities, or have questions about your wider reproductive health. Cool, huh?

Welcome to your Year in Review

Finally, we want to say a big thank YOU to our community of Cyclers — we’re so grateful to share this journey with you. Our gift to you is more personal stats, prepared and packaged up as your Year in Review. Don’t miss out — this feature is only available over the holidays and includes fun facts like your total number of Green Days, your longest measuring streak, and your unique Cycler Persona. Head over to the messages page in the NC° app to open yours!
