Working with testing experts
Number one in the world of at-home pregnancy tests and ovulation tests, the Clearblue® name offers a level of expertise and trust like no other brand. As the only certified birth control app out there, it made perfect sense for Natural Cycles to partner with another leading authority in female health.
Clearblue® offer a range of premium products that are highly accurate and offer quick and clear results. Their award-winning ovulation tests can be combined with the NC° app to increase your number of Green (non-fertile) Days and help those planning pregnancy can use these to narrow down the fertile window more efficiently.
How to use Clearblue® tests with the NC° app
Natural Cycles is already designed to be used alongside ovulation tests and/or pregnancy tests. You will receive a prompt on the best days of your cycle to take a test, depending on your fertility goal and your historical data.
Adding a test result is easy, simply go to the “Add Data” view, and select the type of test you’d like to log. Once you’ve input the positive result (LH surge) or negative result (no LH surge), the algorithm will use the information to learn more about your cycle. A positive ovulation test result will help the NC° algorithm confirm your ovulation day.
A positive pregnancy test also prompts the algorithm to ask you if you want to switch modes to NC° Follow Pregnancy, where you can monitor your pregnancy and learn more about the development of your baby.
Can I still use strip tests with Natural Cycles?
Yes. We want testing to be as easy and accessible as possible, so we’re not limiting the type of test you can use with Natural Cycles. You will still be able to use strip tests — or any type of ovulation test for that matter — with NC°. Just log these in the usual way and use our Ovulation Test Reader (found on the “Add Data” view) if you’re in doubt about the test result.

Where can I buy Clearblue® tests?
From October 2024, Natural Cycles users in the United States will be able to buy Clearblue® & Natural Cycles° Digital Ovulation Test Refill Packs and Clearblue® Early Digital Pregnancy Test with Smart Countdown directly from the Natural Cycles app via “Buy Extra Supplies” in the main app menu. You can also buy ovulation tests from our online shop.
For Cyclers in other countries, you can still purchase strip tests via the Natural Cycles app, or choose to use Clearblue® (or other tests) purchased separately. Clearblue Digital Ovulation Tests® and Clearblue Pregnancy Tests® are available to order online or can be purchased in most drug stores or pharmacies.
