Generate a prescription

Search for "Natural Cycles" within your Electronic Health Record (EHR) database. Use diagnosis code z30.8 and specify a "12-month" duration. If providing a written Rx, you must include the patient's full name and phone number.

Route to FuzeRx

In your EHR, select "any location" for FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy) or fax to 1-415-484-7058.

Patients will receive a text message from FuzeRx within 5 business days. Patients are required to create a FuzeRx account to receive updates on their claim and confirm their information.

Patient activation

Once approved, your patient will receive an email from FuzeRx with the Natural Cycles activation link.

Patients can click on the link to create an NC° account and get started. The NC° Band will be mailed to the patient.

What if I can't find Natural Cycles in my EHR/EMR?

You should be able to search “Natural Cycles” in your standard EHR/EMR system. Other search alternatives include “Natural Cycles Contraceptive Miscellaneous”, “Natural Cycles Digital App”, or the Natural Cycles NDC number, 50014-0630-28. Can I prescribe to other pharmacies?

No, Natural Cycles prescriptions can only be fulfilled through FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy). Natural Cycles has partnered exclusively with FuzeRx to streamline prescribing and dispensing for patients.

What duration is available for Natural Cycles?

Currently, only Natural Cycles Annual Birth Control is covered. Please specify a 12 month duration when prescribing.

Is Natural Cycles covered outside the United States?

At this time, Natural Cycles is only covered in the US in accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and guidance issued by the Department of Labor. As soon as our coverage expands, we will share this with our users.

Is Natural Cycles covered by government health plans?

At this time, government health plans (Medicaid, Medicare, Medi-Cal, Tricare, and VA health plans) do not cover Natural Cycles. Alternatively, Natural Cycles subscriptions are FSA/HSA eligible. Please check out this page on our Cyclerpedia for more information.

How long does it take for my patient to receive their prescription?

Once FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy) receives the prescription, it typically takes 1 week to confirm it and notify the patient.

How does the patient receive access to Natural Cycles and NC° Band?

Once FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy) processes the insurance claim, the patient receives a personal secure link via email to redeem their 12 months of NC° Birth Control. The NC° Band is sent to the patient upon activation of their subscription.

What if I have questions about a specific prescription?

Once the prescription is sent to FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy), patients will be prompted via text to create an account with FuzeRx. FuzeRx will be the patient's point of contact regarding their prescription claim and can answer their questions through their FuzeRx account.

What if my patient’s insurance denies the prescription?

FuzeRx (formerly Alto Pharmacy) will notify the patient and provide patient assistance options.

What if my patient is already using Natural Cycles and wants a prescription?

For existing Natural Cycles users, please follow the instructions on this page.

Note: Please send refill prescriptions 2-3 months before your patient's existing subscription ends to ensure there is no disruption in access to Natural Cycles.
